ca. 1918 Ena wearing Star Tiara

You saw the photo - here's the resulting painting. According to Lukeshmuke, "This painting is problematic inasmuch as it suggests the tiara and parure were not always turquoise. In this painting, Ena is wearing the same tiara, necklaces, brooch, earrings, dress, and hairstyle as in the preceding images but the turquoise stones are not rendered in blue. Based on these facts, I believe this painting was created by the artist using a black and white photo as his model and therefore the artist may have been unaware that the stones in the tiara/necklace/earrings were turquoise. It is also entirely possible that the artist simply took license in rendering the jewels. Subjectively, the likeness of this oil painting is not very exact which may come from working solely off of a photo."
