1647 Louise Henriette van Nassau (1627-1667) and Friedrich Wilhelm of Brandenburg (1620-1688) by Gerrit van Honthorst

The Hohenzollern rulers of Prussia and then Germany are their descendants. He was known as the Great Elector or Große Kurfürst. Armor was already obsolete, but it was a status symbol like an executive jet is today.
