ca. 1637 Anne Cavendish by Anthonis van Dyck (auctioned by Christie's)

Anne Cavendish is a recurring name. She is Anne Cavendish, b. ca. 1611, her birth date being variously listed as 1611, 1612, and 1622. The last date is probably a typographical error. There is no Wikipedia article about her.

I cropped creases left over from an earlier framing.

Anne Cavendish wears a somber, but jeweled, dress (possibly a Puritan fashion statement) for her van Dyck portrait. Her father-in-law was a Puritan activist.
