1846 Archduchess Maria Dorothea von Württemberg by Franz Eybl (Boris Wilnitsky)

It took some digging to identify the sitter, Duchess Maria Dorothea of Württemberg. She married Archduke Joseph and, unlike his previous two wives, survived childbirth and bore him five children, including Marie Henriette who had this misfortune of marrying Leopold II of Belgium, becoming Queen Maria Hendrika of the Belgians covered in a subalbum of this album. She was born in 1797, married in 1819, and died in 1855. Archduke Joseph held the title "Palatine of Hungary and founded the Hungarian branch of the Habsburgs.

Eybl portrays Archduchess Maria Dorothea in quite ordinary day dress in this 1846 print.
