1861 (11 June) Two poses of Lady Abercorn by Camille Silvy

There are many Ladies Abercorn. I do not know which one she is.

Two separate images from Paul Frecker; sepia tone removed (and re-added only to border) with Photoshop, size of each image doubled, and images combined into a single image by gogm.

Lady Abercorn wears a moiré patter skirt and what appears to be a mantlet over her top with a pair of frilled tails draped down her skirt front. Her mantlet has a square section around the neck opening and, possibly, a folding hood.

Keywords:  1861, Silvy, straight coiffure, headdress, high neckline, collar, hood, three quarter length over-sleeves, long under-sleeves, cuffs, crinoline, maxi-length skirt, neck band
