1870s (?) Countess Castiglione wearing dress with two skirt panels by Pierre Louis Pierson

From servatius.blogspot.com/2012/05/countess-of-castiglione-c1870.

I doubt this photograph was taken around 1870 based on the dome crinoline she wears and the pagoda sleeves that are reduced to a revival of hanging sleeves.

Keywords:  Pierson, Virginia Countess of Castiglione, Countess, mistress, Napoleon III, French, long curly coiffure, ribbon headdress, bows, off shoulder vee décolletage, quarter length sleeves, hanging sleeves, ruching, crinoline, under-skirt, necklace, earrings, brooch, bracelets
