Vicky by Alex Bassano

Vicky wears a cap while her chemise or chemisette peeks out at her neckline and sleeve openings. The sleeves, without trace of uplift, and the trim of her close skirt date this to the later 1870s. One way of looking at the lace bodice panel is that it is a lozenge-shaped, rather than triangular, stomacher.
