ca. 1845 Lady, believed to be Queen Victoria attributed to Robert Thorburn (Ellison Fine Art)

Ellison's notes for this include, "In the Royal Collection is another miniature by Thorburn of Queen Victoria with Prince Alfred and Princess Helena where the identical clothes are worn." That portrait shows Victoria is wearing a full skirt, although Princess Helena hides the waistline.

Queen Victoria wears casual dress, unfortunately with the waistline covered. The bodice has a gathered bottom section and complex sleeves of the kind seen in the 1900s.
