1896 Archduke Joseph Karl Ludwig of Austria and his family with guests by Lipót Strelisky

The sitters are (l. to r.) Philippe d'Orléans, Phillipe d'Orléans' wife Maria Dorothea, Clotilde (seated wearing dark dress) who was Maria Dorothea's mother, Clotilde's youngest daughters Clothilde and Elisabeth, Gaston d'Orléans, and Clothilde's husband Josef. Gaston was married to Princess Imperial of Brazil Isabel.

Leg-o-mutton is still all the rage in 1896. Clotilde's wears a hat while her daughter goes without. Both wear high necklines. Maria Dorothea's bodice has a strong triangular theme above her waist band while the details of Clotilde's bodice are obscured.
