1858 Eugénie at Biarritz by E. Defonds (Chateau de Compiegne)

Empress Eugénie's outdoor dress has a jacket with, for the day, narrow sleeves, apparently worn over a blouse (chemisette); her skirt has simple rosette and bow ornaments matching the rest of the skirt.

Her dress appears to be made of velvet lined with black satiny material.
