1807 Princess of Wales' court dress

Caroline of Brunswick's marriage to Prince of Wales  George was singularly unhappy, presumably due to lack of personal cleanliness. They had one child, Charlotte Augusta. Caroline of Brunswick's Wikipedia article is here.

Here is another example of mixing a hooped skirt with an Empire waistline, this time as worn by Princess Caroline of Brunswick. Her dress has a cherusque and quarter length puffed sleeves like French court dresses.
