1825 Countess Catherine Feodorovna Tiesenhausen and Daria F. Fikelmon by Alexander Brullov

According to a posting of 10 October 2010 in the Live Journal russkie razvlecheniya blog, the Countess was said to be mistress of Friedrich Wilhelm IV. Presumably they are in Naples with Vesuvio smoking in the background.

While British aristocrats stay Napoléonic, others wear more forward-looking styles with fuller skirts and sleeves as does Countess Tiesenhausen.
