ca. 1800 Christine Boyer by Antoine-Jean Gros (Louvre) first wife of Lucien Bonaparte

This is 2/3 of her Wikipedia article, "Christine Boyer (3 July 1771, Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume - 14 May 1800) was a member of the Bonaparte family, as the sister of Lucien Bonaparte's housekeeper and then Lucien's first wife.  The couple had four children, of whom two daughters had descendants..."

Here again, another example of plain dress with the wrap required to regulate heat loss. Christine Boyer's shoes can be seen in this Gros portrait. The high waistline is called an "Empire waistline" today, but that was four years off in 1800 when Gros completed this work.
