This portrait of Countess Anne is an early example of a short puffed under-sleeve beneath a long sheer over-sleeve. The over-sleeve ends with a cuff. These dual upper-puffed sleeves persisted into the 1830s. Her coiffure is straight front and center, but turns into curls on the sides and on her bun.
