ca. 1828 Court dress, probably German (Metropolitan Museum - New York City, New York USA)


Rows of repeating cloth or floral decorations, rouleaux, on the lower parts of skirts were stylish in the 1820s. They have been replaced by rows of silver embroidery on this dress.
