Lady Hester Stanhope by Sir William Beechey (auctioned by DuMouchelles)

According to her Wikipedia article, this Lady Hester Stanhope, Hester Lucy Stanhope, left the UK in 1810 and travelled extensively in the Middle East. She died in 1839 in Sidon in what is now Lebanon unmarried. Numerous portraits of her in local costumes exist. Her mother was Hester Pitt Stanhope and her grandmother was Hester Grenville Pitt.

Lady Hester Lucy is dressed in typical British Napoléonic style with a square neckline and long sheer sleeves in this Beechey portrait that presumably predates her departure to the Middle East.
