Laure's hairdresser has kept her hair straight and built it above the back of her hair in a style that could have worked in the early 1960s. The engraver has taken advantage of the coiffure and the curve of her forehead to compose this portrait. The big (Gigot? Imbecile?) sleeves suggest this is from the early 1830s.
