1686 Print of Ladies

This 1686 fashion plate shows a pair of ladies dressed for warm weather wearing fashionable dress and high ornamented coiffures with fripons over the eyes.

As in the previous image, a Lady has put her train over the bench. The lady to the left has ribbons arranged en échelle over the central part (possibly a stomacher) of  her bodice - a prominent feature of dresses in the next century. The bodice worn by the lady to the right appears to have lapels, possibly revers for the stomacher of her bodice.
