Lady Darnborough wears a simple dress with a split bodice held together by a bow up top and a jeweled clasp in the middle and cuffed sleeves in this 1759 Drake portrait. Her hair is un-powdered and not elaborately coiffed in keeping with the simple theme of the portrait. The exposed parts of her chemise are decorated with lace.
