ca. 1716 Marie Louise Adélaïde d'Orléans the future Abbess of Chelles, daughter of the Regent of France by Pierre Gobert (Domaine de Sceaux - Sceaux France)
The most beautiful of the Orléans girls, her parents handled her falling in love with a mere King’s page badly and she was scandalized by the antics of her sister, Duchesse de Berry Marie Louise Élisabeth. As a result, Louise Adélaïde became a nun in 1717. According to her Wikipedia article, "Her parents, as well as her paternal grandmother, were opposed to it, but she became a nun anyway.” She became Abbess of Chelles and installed a potable water supply for the nunnery and town and also built an infirmary and girls’ schoolhouse.
