The sleeves of Marie-Luise's and Amalia's dresses have vee-shaped notches from which cuffs/engageantes emerge in early 1700s style. Marie-Luise wore a close skirt in her 1710 portrait, but Amalie is seen wearing a full skirt, maybe with panniers, in this portrait from around 1725.
