Elizabeth Lady Isham, first Wife of Sir Edmund Isham by circle of Thomas Hudson (Lamport Hall - Lamport, Northamptonshire UK)

This is Lady Elizabeth's article from thepeerage, "Elizabeth Wood F, #486175, d. 19 July 1748

Elizabeth Wood married Sir Edmund Isham Isham, son of Sir Justinian Isham Isham and Elizabeth Turnor, on 17 February 1734. She died on 19 July 1748, without issue.

She was the daughter of Edward Wood. Eldest. She lived Littleton. Her married name became Isham."

This portrait was done when many Ice Queen portraits were done, but Lady Elizabeth does not have the icy countenance. She does wear a dress from the first third of the 1700s with definite cuffs of the over-sleeves and a split bodice that display parts of her chemise.
