Lady Jane had
two portraits painted by Reynolds, one in 1775 and this one in 1776.
Countess Jane wears a close-fitting gown wrapped around and over a
pale gold-trimmed garment beneath that shows a close fitting sleeve tied with
gold cord at her elbow. The other sleeve is concealed by her outer gown.
