ca. 1776 Sir James & Lady Hodges and their family by Sir Nathaniel Dance-Holland (Richard Green Gallery)

The British casual style is shown here, although the Ladies' dresses have saque backs. Lady Hodges' dress is modestly covered while her daughters' necklines are open. All wear modest white caps and relatively subdued coiffures. The fanciest dresser appears to be the son to the right.
