1775 Marie-Antoinette by Jean-Baptiste-Andre Gautier d'Agoty (Versailles)
Marie
Antoinette is about twenty and on top of the world in this 1775 d'Agoty
portrait of her in truly grand dress. Back then, this portrait was probably
good public relations, but the monarchy was losing standing so this was
probably considered to be royal waste by the time of the Revolution.
