1783 Comtesse d'Artois et ses enfants by Charles Emmanuel Leclercq (Versailles)

The Comtesse d'Artois had three children who could be portrayed here, Louis Antoine (1775-1844), Sophie (1776-1783), and Charles Ferdinand (1778-1820). She had another child in 1783 who died at around six months age.

There are various spellings for the artist's family name, but the spelling "Leclercq" applies according to Reunion des Musées Nationaux.

From Wikimedia; numerous cracks in the paint, but not all, were fixed with Photoshop by gogm.

Coumtesse d'Artois wears a modest, maybe 20 cm high coiffure topped with a wide cap in this Leclercq portrait from around 1780. The arrangement of her skirt suggests the skirt has panniers or similar mechanical supports.
