I'd love to know the date and the history of this photo. Vittorio Emanuele was born in November 1869, while Maria Pia's children were born in September 1863 and July 1865. The oldest child could be 20, while Vittorio Emanuele is not yet a teenager.

Take away the children and this could be dated to the 1890s based on the leg-o-mutton sleeves. Did leg-o-mutton sleeves catch on first in southern Europe?
