María Christina photographed while standing

Posted to Foro Dinastias by Minnie on 16 November 2009; sepia tone removed by gogm.

This photo of María Cristina was taken in the mid 1870s, based on the tightness of her skirt; there is a hint of fullness behind at about knee height. Her chemisette peeks out beneath her collar, sleeve openings, and probably contributes her ruffled bodice ornament.

Keywords:  María Cristina Habsburg, Archduchess, Queen, Habsburg family, Borbón family, Austrian, curly coiffure, high neckline, jacket bodice, lapels, chemisette, ruffled bodice ornament, long tight sleeves, cuffs, natural waistline, tight skirt
