1794-1795 Marquesa de la Solana by Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (Louvre)

Spanish style gravitates to black as shown in this Goya portrait of the Maquesa de la Solana from 1794-1795. The white scarf and mantilla and the huge pink bow in hair contrast strongly with the black of her dress. Strong detail enhancement reveals trim about 30 cm high above the hem.
