Maria Luisa Orleans by Juan Carreño de Miranda (location unknown to gogm)

This portrait of Maria Luisa Orleans shows her dressed in a saya-like dress,

Her sleeves are slashed to reveal black or dark under-sleeves, an interesting combination. Her dress looks very Iberian with a large skirt. The sleeves are narrow, but still puffed and slashed. There are a number of images of her on the Internet that show she wore her hair very long, over a century before Empress Elisabeth of Austria, with some to the front and the rest to the back.
