1838 Retrospective portrait of Adélaide d'Orléans by Marie-Amelie Cogniet (Versailles) Photo credit - Gérard Blot

She was King Louis Phillippe's sister. This is a retrospective portrait - she was born in 1777 and does not look like a 60-year old in this portrait. She has an aura of sweetness in this portrait.

This portrait has been around on the Internet. But this version, photographed for Reunion des Musées Nationaux, by Gérard Blot is the best version I have yet seen.

Adélaide d'Orléans' dress dates to the Romantic era with bateau neckline, circular waistline framed by a belt, neck band, and puffed sleeves. The lace neck band appears to be used to tie her broad-brimmed hat to her head.
