1889 Garden Party in Honour of the Shah at Hatfield House, the Seat of the Marquis of Salisbury
From hertfordshire-genealogy.co.uk; originally published in the Illustrated London News.
This print shows fashionable day dresses in their natural habitat. It also shows the aggressive 1880s bustle is still being worn, and the bustle looke very artificial when the wearer sat down. Most hats were trim and two Ladies appear to be wearing face veils. I cannot see any cuirasse bodices or tabliers.
