Maria Sofia Amalia di Baviera, regina di Napoli e delle Due Sicilie as the Morning Star by Franz Xaver Winterhalter (Minneapolis Institute of Art - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA)

I doubt this Winterhalter-esque portrait is a Winterhalter, based on the sparse detail in the skirt. Even when Winterhalter hid a sitter in clouds of wrap, he detailed the wrap to some extent. Winterhalter was also a master of light and shadow.

This portrait probably portrays Maria Sophie in the morning, shown by a possibly symbolic Venus directly above her, and looks east with a town (Ercolano?) and smoking Vesuvio in the background.
