Bonhams description is, "Lady Hester Stanhope (1776–1839), wearing gold figured white dress with crimson sash, pearl necklace and orange ribbon in her hair piled high, landscape background..." The coiffure says this is not a 1795 portrait. It is more likely that the original for this portrait dates to about when she married in 1774.
