This is probably the most well known portrait of the Princesse de Lamballe. It shows her wearing a monumental coiffure à la quinot decorated with a swag of flowers. She wears a fichu-like scarf revealing what appears to be an under-bodice. She wears a zone bodice and over-skirt and the mass of material behind suggests she is wearing a robe à la circassienne. The coiffure is very similar to one worn by Marie Antoinette in a 1777 Drouais portrait.

Keywords:  Callet, high straight large curl coiffure, floral headdress, fichu, vee décolletage, bows, under-bodice, trapezoidal neckline, zone bodice, ruffles, elbow length tight sleeves, rolled cuffs, flared cuffs, under-skirt, flounces, robe à la circassienne
