Grand Duchess Marie Alexandrovna, Duchess of Edinburgh and Coburg

Here is another photo of Grand Duchess Marie Alexandrovna dressed as a Russian grande dame with impressive jewels and glitzy dress. Her blouson bodice obscures part of her waistline, but it looks like a shallow vee waistline dating this turn-of-the (last) -century. The shoulder region was an area emphasized by designers around 1900.
