1856 October Empress Euegénie and her Ladies by Edouard Delessert

The ladies are all dressed in dome-shaped early crinoline dresses in this photograph of the Empress Eugenie and her court. I believe the Lady farthest left is the Duchess of Bassano.

Virtually every Lady wears a straight coiffure with a part in the center and those in light-colored dresses are obviously wearing crinolines (the others probably are too).
