Daughter of Sophie d'Alençon, née Wittlesbach, she was born in England (Orléanists were probably unwelcome in Second Empire France) and lived from 1869 to 1952. I can only imagine how she felt during the World Wars. She died in München. Her brief Wikipedia article is here.
