1601 Lady of the Shelton Family by ? (Ancient House, Museum of Thetford Life - Norfolk UK)
From bbc.co.
The sitter wears turn-of-the-century puffed tapered sleeves with a deeply goffered ruff trimmed with lace. The bodice is not something normally seen - she may have been with child. Her multiple-stranded necklace bodice ornaments resemble those worn by Lady Elizabeth Hastings although they are draped differently. Her dress probably has a square neckline.
