Anne of Denmark wears a dress with a neckline ruff exposing much of her neck in this 1600 Hilliard. The inside of the ruff forms a triangle truncated by her neck. The stomacher and revers of her bodice mirror it. She wears a large jewel in her coiffure and a red headdress while her bodice and sleeves appear to be jeweled. Her dress also has a translucent band running upwards from her neckline - a modesty piece.
