Gabrielle de Rochechouart wears French fashions for about the middle 1500s in this de Lyon portrait. The Rochechouart family will be back in the 1600s. Several Web sources date this to 1574, but for Blum the date is ca. 1560 - 1565.
It looks like she's wearing coral jewelry. According to Blum in Laver, ed. Costume of the Western World, p. 83 (USA ed. 1951) - "An open-necked gown of dark velvet with a chemisette. Paned sleeves puffed on the shoulders. Small ruff."
