This face study of Bianca Capello de Medici also shows details of a jeweled headdress and the collar-ruff characteristic of Italian fashion. Some elements of a Spanish saya can be seen here, particularly the elaborate false sleeve sets of a saya. The artist captured the small slashes on her sleeves. Her dress does not have a visible separated bodice; the bodice simply flows into the over skirt. Her coiffure forms a vee, even if her bodice doesn't.
