Mary Stuart by ? (Château de Cadillac - Cadillac, Aquitaine France)

From Guillaume Cingal's photostream on flickr.

This is an artist's retrospective of Mary; the vee waist plunges down her farthingale while the rest of her dress also reflects French fashion. The high puffed long sleeves are similar to French sleeves, while the higher enclosing neckline, ruff, and crescent lower neckline would have been suitable for Paris.

Keywords:  Mary Queen of Scots, Stuart family, Scottish, Queen, straight coiffure, crown, veil, high enclosing neckline, ruff, chemise, reticulated partlet, long high puffed sleeves, slashed sleeves, girdle, vee waistline, farthingale, jeweled neckline, jeweled sleeves, carcanet necklace, draped necklace, earrings
