ca. 1620 (estimated based on birth date of child) Lady Anne Cotton (nee Hoghton) with her son John by Marcus Gheeraerts the younger (location unknown to gogm)

Her article in thepeerage is here. I read Sir John Cotton's article in thepeerage after estimating the date to be 1620. He died in 1620 so this is mourning dress. She had one child, John seen here in matching dress. She went on to marry Sir John Carleton in 1625 and had three children by him.

Lady Anne's dress s obviously decorated with numerous rows of thin closely spaced slashes revealing a light-colored under-garment, perhaps a white chemise or the patterned material of her under-skirt.
