Upgrade image posted 13 June 2014 from the lost gallery's photostream on flickr; numerous spots throughout the image and large flaws in the upper quadrant to the left and right of the feathers removed with Photoshop. As a result, the background of this image is not identical with the background of the original. In addition, the skin of her neck and neckline regions and her right arm was marred by cracked paint flaws that were repaired with Photoshop.

Feathered festive headdresses, like that worn by Hortense Mancini here, were common in 1600s portraits. Her jewel-girdled vee waistline ends over a full skirt, full enough to be using hoops or many petticoats.
