Here is a Royalis Lady in stern Rembrandtian black with decoration limited to edging of the ruff and cuffs. This is a great example of paned virago sleeves. She could be wearing a stomacher framed by a jacket seen on portraits of Henrietta Maria, but in somber black. There is a small patch of lace above the ornamental bow in the center of her neckline that looks like the source of a short pearl necklace.
