She was independent-minded, opposed to Bismarck and his belligerent policies, snubbed Bismarck's wife after Bismarck had attacked her publicly, and she had to accept the imperial crown when Bismarck's wars made her Empress. She was briefly succeeded by progressive-leaning Princess Royal Victoria and then by the ultra-conservatice Augusta Victoria known as Empress Augusta. So this Augusta is called Queen Augusta of Prussia to avoid confusion.
