This picture shows an example of the tape used to decorate the waistlines of mantuas as well as the tabbed bottom of the bodice. The over-skirt has a different embroidery, mainly limited to the margins, than the thoroughly embroidered under-skirt and bodice. The stomacher section ends with a tabbed handle.
