I date this photo of Archduchess Gisela to the 1870s based on elaborate trim and her youthful appearance and coiffure. The next image shows her skirt allowing this to be dated closely to 1875. The photo of Gisela and Marie Valerie demonstrates the problems with dating based on a bust portrait. The bangs and pouf of curls in a bun were trademarks.
