The sitter appears to be wearing three or more layers of dress - a camica, an under-bodice with white reticulated collar (that may be part of her bodice), a bodice, and a coat of heavy material that also has a collar as well as lapels.She wears a bandeau, necklace, girdle, pendant chain, bracelets, and rings to show status in spite of her austere dress.
